Description
An evergreen tree used in Ayurveda for gynecological disorders, infertility treatment, and amenorrhoea.
It is a large shrub grows up to 10 feet. Leaves are large & narrow. The dorsal surface of the leaves is glabrous and ventral surface is pubescent. Flowers are purple in color, Flowering and fruiting occur in the months of December and January. The bark yields a jute-like fiber.
The hot and humid climate is suitable for the growth of the crop. It is a medicinal plant with a wide variety of reported uses, including as an abortifacient and for treating uterine disorders, diabetes, rheumatic joint pain, headaches with sinusitis, dysmenorrhoea, gonorrhea, stomachache, diabetes, and dermatitis.Plant Specifications
